Connected Healthcare: Enabling Enterprise wide Interoperability

In the decade since the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Act was passed, the implementation of health IT has come a long way. The most recent statistics show that 96 percent of all non-federal acute-care hospitals have adopted certified electronic health record (EHR) technology, But the digitization of data is only the first step; facilitating access to that data via interoperability is today’s challenge.
