WELL Health to Acquire EMR, Billing and Clinical Assets from CloudMD
The digital health company WELL Health Technologies Corp., which aims to empower healthcare professionals and their patients around the world by leveraging technology, is happy to announce that it has reached an agreement to acquire Cloud Practice Inc. and three clinics from CloudMD Software & Services Inc.
Juno EMR, a cloud-based EMR system based on OSCAR1, is one of the company’s products. ClinicAid, a medical billing programme used by healthcare professionals who don’t require access to a full EMR, is another. Juno EMR represented the greatest accessible asset and market share in the OSCAR1 based EMR sector, outside of WELL who is the largest provider of OSCAR1 EMR goods and services. WELL’s entry into the Alberta and Saskatchewan markets for its EMR and medical billing related lines of business is represented by both Juno EMR and ClinicAid. The Provider Solutions Business Unit of WELL will incorporate both assets under its current EMR and billing platforms.
WELL’s COO, Amir Javidan, said, “This deal will benefit clinicians joining our network, software users, and patients of healthcare professionals by giving them access to WELL’s cutting-edge Apps. A health platform with hundreds of apps created by top third-party digital health firms offers premium patient engagement capabilities, powerful physician tools, and virtual assistants powered by AI that can significantly improve operating efficiencies for clinics.”
