Pharmaceutical and medical device associations have been invited by the health ministry to express their opinions on streamlining the nation’s drug regulatory framework. However, several associations have criticized the action, claiming that the ministry has not yet taken any action in response to suggestions made to enhance the nation’s business environment. The government requested opinions and recommendations from associations in both sectors regarding how to enhance India’s clearance and approval procedure.
