Cook Children’s deep brain stimulation surgery

It seems like only yesterday that we performed our first deep brain stimulation (DBS) surgery. And when that patient took those first steps, we knew we could never stop moving forward either. Even as we pass our 100th surgery, it’s just the beginning of our work as we continue to bring the most innovative DBS technology and techniques right here to Cook Children’s. All to help our patients truly “move” toward a fuller, more active life, so kids can do what they do best, be kids.
